Judy Tate

I have been  drawn to soft pastels for a long time., I find  the versatility, immediacy and vibrancy hard to beat. More recently the recurring theme is ‘organic'- often initiated as an underpainting with acrylics or monoprinting. 

En plein air sketching gives me a platform for larger pastel work in the studio. 

Underlying all of my work is a love of colour and the excitement of seeing how far I can take it.
